Why do my feet hurt when I workout?

Walking and working out is one of the best and the easiest ways to remain fit and in shape. While working out and walking, the most we use is our feet and in such situations, pains and occasional aches are so common.

Overuse of feet is one of the key problems of having foot pain but there might be any medical condition or an underlying injury that you need to get treated to avoid any severe problems.

1- Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia. The plantar fascia is a thick tissue band that is present in the bottom of the feet. Plantar fasciitis may start with causing a tough heel pain which you might feel while taking steps in the morning usually.

4- Tendinitis 

Tendon may fall into inflammation and that causes tendinitis. Tendons are basically the fibrous, thick cords that attach the bones and muscles. There are basically three types of tendinitis and each has its own symptoms.

The first one is Achilles tendinitis which causes stuffiness and pain in the Achilles tendon and it also causes the heel to hurt. Extensor tendinitis is also a type of tendinitis which causes pain in your feet’s middle portion.

Moreover, peroneal tendinitis causes pain around and outside your foot. OTC medication, icing, and resting can heal your pain. 

5- Morton’s neuroma

Morton’s neuroma is a situation in which the surrounding tissue of the nerve ball starts thickening.

That tissue is present around the toes and it thickens usually between the fourth and third toe and causes trauma, pressure, and irritation.

Wearing comfortable shoes and taking OTC medications can relieve the pain for you.
